Ongoing & Upcoming Classes
Selah Youth Choir (SYC)
We are beyond excited to be building a new, pop-gospel, community church youth choir (ages 6-16) that will meet at Crossroads Church Oakley (this is not a Crossroads event, however)! We will kick off with a 6-week, summer starter program in June 2026, meeting on Monday evenings from 6pm-7:15pm. Registration will be available early on Easter 2026 for anyone on our choir interest form, with public registration following a few weeks later. Then, the official start will come in August with 8-week sessions.
Do you have a child who loves to sing? SYC is built for school-aged youth (6-16 years) who love to sing, want to build community and learn more about their voice and singing with others! It is led by 20+ year musician and vocalist, Erica Bostick (aka Ms. Erica), and will be a fun, encouraging environment where we will learn original, pop-gospel songs (written and composed by Ms. Erica) with a new theme each 8-week session. Our goals will be: enjoying singing, building community, learning to sing with and listen to one another well, and of course, sing and make music that celebrates Jesus! We will host a performance of the songs we've learned during our last meeting. No audition necessary to join, but we will hold auditions for solo parts that will be available in some pieces.
Our summer 2026 session theme will be ‘Salt & Light’! For further questions, please email hellosyc.choir@gmail.com <3
Group Voice
Ms. Erica
Led by mother-of-four and 15-year professional singer/songwriter/musician, Erica Bostick, these 45-minute classes are designed for ages 7-12 to:
♡ Explore and learn about our voices and voice care, build confidence, and have fun!
♡ Strengthen voice, pitch, and breath control
♡ Learn to sing with others while also giving opportunity for connection with other kiddos who love to sing and create
My heart (Ms. Erica) is to fan their love of singing into a fire by keeping it light, fun, and focusing on areas and songs my students are excited about learning while still giving them the tools they need to grow as singers and performers. Each student gets a bit of individual time as well each lesson.
Sessions run monthly, meeting once per week, Tuesday evenings in Liberty TWP. Each month we introduce new themes and songs and even explore songwriting, music theory, music production, and a bit of piano.
Art Club at YMCA
We’re now offering art classes for ages 6-12 at the Lakota YMCA! Our first will begin end of April 2025. Register on the Y website via the link here!
Do you have a child who loves to draw, paint, or create with their hands? This class is designed for school aged children, ages 7-12, to learn and explore different forms of art and creative expression. We will:
♡ learn about classic and modern artists, focusing on two artists per month
♡ work with many different mediums including (but not limited to) water colors, acrylic paints, sculpturing, collage art, canvas painting, working with pastels, drawing, textured art and more!
Art has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, increase self-esteem, and even enhance cognitive functioning. Our goal is to fan the flame of your child’s love for creativity and art and allow them time and space to explore and self-express.
For our first session Spring 2025, we will learn about Frida Kahlo & Picasso and create projects each week inspired by Frida's iconic self-portraits and Picasso's cubist art, exploring their differences and similarities.
Sessions run monthly, meeting every week.
